It is hard to believe we are already in April. As I settle into my role as Executive Vice President and Interim CEO, I have taken the show on the road in an effort to personally meet and learn more about our Chapters, Support Groups, Centers of Excellence, National Board of Directors and Donors. In the past month I have traveled to Kansas City, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Phoenix. And it’s just the beginning! While it is hard to be away from my family more and more these days, it has been a truly rewarding experience – so thank you to all who have welcomed me on my journey thus far.
All of us at the Tourette Association of America have been busy gearing up for another exciting Tourette Syndrome Awareness month (May 15 – June 15). You can look forward to a fun and engaging social media campaign #ThisIsTourette, the National Awareness 5K Run/Walk, comprehensive webinars and more. If you are interested in setting up a walk near you to join our efforts, please click here.
In addition to our events, the TAA Youth Ambassadors are making their presentations around the country to raise awareness and understanding about Tourette. Our Support Services and Public Heath & Education teams are knee-deep in developing and providing resources and support to the TS community for all ages.
I sincerely hope that you will take advantage of all the resources, information and support that the Tourette Association has to offer.
